- My name is Andrew Nathan Mdokhwe, a passionate fisheries and aquaculture graduate from Malawi with a vision to transform the aquaculture industry through sustainable fish farming. Growing up in a family that struggled financially, I have always been driven to create opportunities that not only improve livelihoods but also contribute to food security and environmental sustainability. With hands-on experience gained from my industrial attachment at Mzuzu Aquaculture Centre and my work under the GCRP project, I have developed expertise in fish production, research, and sustainable farming practices. Now, I am taking a bold step toward establishing my own fish farm—a venture that will provide fresh, locally produced fish, create employment, and empower small-scale farmers with knowledge and resources to thrive in the aquaculture sector. However, starting a fish farm requires significant investment in infrastructure, fingerlings, and feed. That’s why I am reaching out for support. Every contribution will bring me closer to making this dream a reality—one that not only benefits me but also my community and the future of sustainable fisheries in Malawi. Join me on this journey and be part of a movement that fosters food security, economic growth, and environmental conservation. Your support, no matter how small, makes a difference!
