For many visually impaired people in Malawi, accessing the Bible remains a distant dream. The absence of Scripture in accessible formats such as Braille and audio leaves them spiritually isolated from the very Word that brings hope, comfort, and strength.
Without these resources, they are often cut off from the life-changing truth that God’s Word offers to all.

The Project

The Light Through God’s Word project is dedicated to making the Bible accessible to those who cannot see.
We are working to produce and distribute Braille Bibles in Chichewa, ensuring that the visually impaired can finally engage with Scripture in a way that meets their needs.
Through partnerships with organizations for the blind and local churches, these vital resources are reaching those who have long been left behind.

Your Support in Action: Cecilia’s Story

When 21-year-old Cecilia Mpaso lost her sight shortly after getting married, her world fell silent and dark. Despite medical efforts, she was left with only partial vision, unable to read and increasingly disconnected from her community and faith.

Through this project, Cecilia received a large-print Chichewa Bible, specially designed for those with visual impairments.
For the first time in years, she could read the Scriptures independently — and her joy was beyond words. Today, as an active member of Living Waters Church, Cecilia testifies that this Bible has rekindled her faith and restored her confidence in God.
