REBUILDING A DREAM, ONE STEP AT A TIME
Story
My name is Nofonofo Junior Phiri, a young entrepreneur from Malawi. I was once working in community radio, serving people with information and hope. After leaving my job, I decided to take a bold step into farming and small-scale lending to support my community.
I invested everything I had into groundnut farming on 3.5 acres of land. I also started a small loan business to help local people start businesses and survive tough times. My dream was simple: grow together with my community.
Unfortunately, things did not go as planned.
Economic challenges, rising costs of farm inputs, rent, family responsibilities, and unpaid loans have left me financially overwhelmed. My loan capital has completely collapsed. Today, I am struggling to meet basic needs while waiting for harvest season.
Despite everything, I have not given up.
I believe in hard work. I believe in standing again after falling. The crops are growing, and with the right support, I can rebuild my loan business, stabilize my family, and continue empowering others.
I am humbly asking for your support — any contribution, big or small, will make a difference. Your help will go toward:
Rebuilding my small loan capital
Supporting farm inputs until harvest
Helping me stabilize my household
Your donation is not just money. It is hope. It is a second chance. It is an investment in a young man who refuses to quit.
If you cannot donate, please share my story. Your kindness and prayers mean everything to me.
Thank you for believing in me.
Nofonofo Junior
