Hello, my name is Mr. Gift and I am running for the member of parliament for People’s Central constituency office.

Question: Did you know that People’s Central is one of the poorest and most neglected constituencies in Malawi? Despite having many members of parliament in the past, the people of People’s Central have been forgotten and betrayed by their leaders. Money from the Constituency Development Funds (CDF) is misused and some projects are diverted to areas favoring the Member of Parliament. Some areas have been totally left behind and lack basic services and infrastructure. There is still rampant poverty in the area and many people are struggling to survive.

Why I am Running: I want to change that. I want to be a different kind of leader, one who listens to the people and serves their interests. I want to give people a net to go fishing instead of giving them the fish. I want to empower them to improve their lives and their communities. When elected, my main focus will be agriculture, education, and employment for the youth. I will work hard to ensure that the CDF is used transparently and accountably for the benefit of all people in People’s Central. I will also advocate for more investment and development in the constituency, especially in the areas that have been neglected for too long. The constituency needs a young and energetic leader who recognizes that he is a servant of the people and not the other way around. That is why I am asking for your vote and your trust.
