Skills Development for Youth & Women Empowerment in Chinsapo, Lilongwe, Malawi
Story
The Foundation for Community Development Programs (TFCDP) is launching the Skills Development and Economic Empowerment Initiative in Chinsapo, Lilongwe. This project aims to equip marginalized youth and women with vocational skills, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship support to foster sustainable livelihoods and economic independence.
With high unemployment rates and limited access to training, women and youth in Chinsapo face significant barriers to financial stability. Through practical training in tailoring, carpentry, ICT, and business development, the initiative will empower at least 500 beneficiaries to generate income, secure meaningful employment, and build thriving small businesses.
We also aim to educate 400 participants on financial management, budgeting, and accessing credit, promoting informed economic decisions and breaking the cycle of poverty. By fostering gender equality and empowering women as economic leaders, the project will uplift the entire community.
